Rebuilding My Body Was The Most Over‑Whelming Thing I’d Ever Tried… Until I Discovered that: Efficiency > Optimal.
I was blindsided by a rare condition: Transverse Myelitis.
It's a neurological condition where inflammation, often due to an autoimmune response, affects the spinal cord, leading to symptoms like muscle weakness, sensory loss, and bowel/bladder dysfunction.
It left me paralysed from the waist down.
In a matter of days, my life changed.
I could no longer walk, use my core, sit up without any form of back support and I couldn't even go to the toilet properly.
Miraculously, I made a full recovery.
It made me realise how much in the past I had taken my body for granted.
Eating Poorly.
Drinking Every Weekend.
Thinking you're invincible.
That needed to change.
I needed to rebuild but the internet buried me in a landslide of contradictory guru‑advice:
- “Train six days a week.”
- “Live on boiled chicken and rice.”
- “twice‑a‑day workouts!”
I froze. The more I researched, the heavier I got—50 lbs of pure fat in 2 years.
I had a victim mindset, feeling sorry for myself thinking 'I had an awful illness, that can be my excuse...'
How tragic.
Then one day I decided to get my head out my arse and do something about it.
The lightbulb moment...
I knew there had to be a much simpler way.
People with far busier lives had achieved 1000x more than me.
I didn't want to be in the gym for hours on end.
I didn't want to be cooking chicken broccoli and rice everyday...
So I gave myself 3 days training a week.
With 'Go Hard or Go Home' intensity.
I made sure to eat simple, high protein, high fibre, high enjoyment foods.
I also made sure to keep foods in that I love.
Why slave away for hours on end when you could have something just as tasty ready to eat in 5 minutes?
Why waste hours in the gym when you could be in there for no more than 60 minutes 3 times a week and still get 80% of the results?
I live for EFFICIENCY.
You should too.
Since then, I've built a physique I'm proud of and have helped even more do the same!
